Ombak Luwung's, meaning 'Great Waves' is a blend of Balinese and Modern style. The different rooms surround a stoned patio with a large fountain, accessed from the entrance gate by a flourished pathway. An expensive grassy garden opening on the beach gives a big breath of freedom to the property, as well as the ponds and tropical trees scattered over the land. Very well designed bedrooms are facing the ocean, as the wide living area and the Jacuzzi, next to a superb dark tiled overflow swimming pool.

The main gates open on a green parking space, and a walkway leads to the center square, connecting the different pavilions together. On the front side, two symmetric bedrooms give directly on the swimming pool with sea view. One of the ensuite bathroom is an astonishing private pavilion surrounded by a pond, semi open aired, with bathtub, separated shower and basins, the other is closed with a large window separating the massage Bale and providing light and proximity to nature too. A spacious living room with kitchenette links the side wings. On the one side, an air conditioned dining room features a 10 seats table. On the other side, the massage Bale takes apart a third bedroom with ensuite bathroom, equivalent to the one facing the ocean. A two floored pavilion along the center square hosts a superb king size bed with large TV and CD-DVD players on the ground floor. On the second floor, a comfortable day bed faces the ocean in a relaxing room with bathroom.

The expansive cerulean Indian Ocean beckons from the doorstep of Ombak Luwung. This private five bedroom beachfront estate is nestled in the cozy embrace of the quaint sea-side fishing village of Canggu. An exclusive escapist feel is offered by the location of this property, yet it is comfortably close, only fifteen minutes by car, from the upscale shops, dining, and nightlife of

Seminyak, and only a fifteen minute-drive to the revered sea-side temple of Tanah Lot. The spectacular Canggu surfing beach is a short walk away, and the gorgeous Meridian Resort and Nivana golf course is just beyond Tanah Lot

From the main entrance, you proceed down a shady bamboo, pergola-covered walkway to the central plaza. Massive limestone carvings depicting scenes of Balinese village life rise up from the grounds. Informed by ancient Balinese principals of harmony, the layout of the structures, shrines, gardens, and ornaments of the estate lends itself to maximizing the peace and well-being of the occupants. Traditional Balinese materials including palimanan, alang-alang (thatched) roofs, and tropical hardwoods indigenous to the archipelago are used in all the rooms, all of which are separate structures to encourage privacy.

This spacious estate features seven separate structures, laid out amongst the lush gardens as to maximize enjoyment of the views provided. The black-sand beaches meet the Indian Ocean in front of the property, and lead up to the manicured lawns, heated 8-person Jacuzzi, and expansive 8×16 meter pool, featuring a 360 degree infinity edge. Teak wood lounge chairs on the deck and cooling stone lounges are oriented specifically for watching the soothing waves. Rich maroon umbrellas give splashes of color. Pool toys are provided for children and the young at heart.

A poolside outdoor shower is set in a white rock garden. Stand on a carved limestone turtle as the water cleanses you while a Balinese barong overlooks from the palimanan shower tower. Traditional lighting fixtures tastefully done in natural woods and grasses pepper the tranquil property. A carved Sulaweisi lumbung (rice barn) offers itself up as a meditative point from which to view the stunning sunsets. On a clear day you can see all the way to Mount Bromo in Java to the west.

Three adjacent structures directly overlook the grounds and ocean. In the middle is the wantilan, a traditional Balinese living room. This comfortable sitting area is an ideal location from which to lie back on the plush white cushions of the relaxation couches and appreciate the sea view. A wet-kitchen and powder room are set off to the back.

To either side of wantilan are two sea-view bedrooms, each with king-sized beds and en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom to the left has a separate full-bathroom pavilion, which seems to float in a black-stone pond. The other bedroom has a king-sized bed, and an en-suite open-air bathroom with shower and bathtub.

All bedroom suites are air-conditioned, and feature luxurious amenities including hard-wood floors, canopy-style mosquito nets, stereo systems, telephones, intercoms, and in-room safes. The rooms are tastefully decorated with subtle Indonesian artifacts amidst a backdrop of clean white walls and crisp linens. All the bedrooms have en-suite open-concept bathrooms that feature a tub and shower; the décor is a chic combination of smooth dark woods, ultra-modern glass shelves, and contemporary lighting fixtures.

To the north of the estate stands the only two storey structure on the property, overlooking the central plaza and encircled by a blooming lily pond. Walk over rock slabs into the first floor, configured as a study/library/media room. Comical Balinese statues set to either side of the doorway. Sit on the dark purple cushions of the relaxation and watch a DVD on the large screen TV, complete with surround sound and satellite. Select a DVD, VCD, CD, or book from the small library provided. Two additional TV’s with DVD/VCD are available on the property, one of which also has satellite. Easily transformed into a fifth bedroom, this extra living space has its own en-suite open-air bathroom. From the second floor bedroom, enjoy unobstructed views of the Indian Ocean from the Chinese wedding bed, more suitable for children.

Across the plaza are the kitchen and dining room, set adjacent to the wantilan. The kitchen boasts all modern amenities so the professional chef can cater to your every desire as you relax in the air-conditioned dining room. A circular table that seats up

to 10 people rests in the center of the white-tiled room, and hinged glass doors allow for a spacious feel whether or not the doors are open.

Opposite the kitchen is the garden-view bedroom with a king sized bed and en-suite bathroom. This bedroom opens onto a private garden courtyard complete massage bale and outdoor shower. Have the staff arrange a massage for you, and surrender to the surrounding sounds of the falling waterfall as drops reunite with the lotus pond.

The spacious layout of the sea-side estate is ideal for large parties, weddings, and family gatherings as it maintains the privacy of each suite. Those with children can rest comfortably as the estate provides a baby cot with beddings, an Evenflo infant/toddler car seat for weights 5-40 lbs., and babysitters can easily be arranged by the staff.
