Villa Anyar
Surrounded by beautifully maintained tropical grounds totalling nearly 2,000 sq meters (½ acre), Villa Anyar is the biggest property on the Anyar Estate.
After entering through mighty double wooden gates decorated with intricate carving, guests will notice a large stone Buddha cradling frangipani blooms and a small temple or tugu, 1 of 5, where offerings are placed daily. These Bali icons set the scene for a tranquil, secluded home away from home.
The Bali theme continues at the brink of the sparkling turquoise waters of a large free-form pool skirted by a spacious deck scattered with sun loungers, where a shady bale provides the ideal spot to curl up on comfy cushions and take a snooze.
Stepping-stones lead across the lawn towards the 3-story villa past statues peeking out from the foliage. With a roof of traditional sirap fabricated from strips of wood, it was designed and built by the owners using the grand proportions of fast vanishing vintage-Bali style.
The front doors open onto a library nook and lead into the lobby of a self-contained apartment. This comprises 2 king size bedrooms (1 overlooking the pool and the other a patio) and a cozy twin-bedded room, all air-conditioned, that share a massive garden bathroom complete with full size bath, shower and a sturdy massage table.
There is another air-conditioned king size bedroom upstairs with beautiful views over rice fields and mountains that has its own en-suite shower. Also on the 2nd story is the spacious living area, accented with floor tiles of antique Java green, which has a separate washroom complete with bath. Furnished with carved coffee tables and solid wooden couches heaped with cushions it is the perfect place to snuggle up and watch TV or DVDs from the villa’s extensive collection.
The modern, fully equipped kitchen has a stylish long black granite breakfast bar bordered with kitchen stools that look out through large windows onto the garden. A personal cook is on call to shop and provide full time catering or, if guests prefer, they can prepare their own meals.
Sliding folding glass doors open onto a wooden decked dining area, home to a large round table and 8 chairs, which has glorious views over the garden, pool and surrounding paddy fields. This is the place to kick back with a cocktail and watch stunning sunsets at dusk. The deck links to a back balcony, furnished with massive cushioned chairs, which look out over a vast expanse of rice fields with Mount Batu Karu in the distance.
Fling the living room doors open to catch a gentle breeze creating the feeling of outdoor living or, if the Bali heat gets too much, keep them closed for air-conditioned comfort. The choice is yours.
For teenagers sharing, or for the ultimate romantic get-away, climb a spiral staircase to the private Look Out Suite, an octagonal bedroom surrounded with picture windows offering a spectacular 270° panoramic view over rural Bali. Also air-conditioned, this retreat has a queen sized four-poster bed and en-suite shower.
Featuring a wrap-around terrace incorporating BBQ area with pool table, a large garden and beautiful pool, Villa Anyar makes a wonderful setting for special celebrations, family vacations, or exclusive escapes with friends.
Situated near the village of Bumbak, many guests enjoy taking peaceful strolls or leisurely bicycle rides in the local surrounds and there is a selection of small restaurants within walking distance of the estate. For night owls, however, the heart of Seminyak, home to the most exclusive bars, restaurants and clubs in Bali, is only a 15 minute drive away.
Our 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom villas have TVs in every bedroom and are serviced by a team of friendly staff who will shop or cook for you, and happily organise cars, bikes and tours around the island.

Housekeeping
Whilst every care is taken with your clothes we regret we cannot take responsibility for items not washing up to your expectations.
All laundry items will be billed at the end of your stay.
Broadband Internet
The villas have broadband wireless Internet access. Network key codes will be supplied on arrival.
Electricity
The Estate is powered by the main power grid which provides electricity at @220VAC, 50Hz which is supported by our own 124Kw backup generator in case of power failure.
Anyar Estate Transport
Pak Kus is Anyar Estate’s private driver. He speaks good English and drives a brand new Toyota Fortuna which seats 7 passengers in comfort.
The car and driver rental period is 8 hours per day. Extra hours will be charged at Rp60,000 per hour and billed at the end of your stay.
We can arrange motor scooters that are fun, give you heaps of independence and are a great way to get around. A scooter and helmet costs about Rp50,000 per day. We highly recommend that you obtain your international motorbike licence first. However, if you don’t have one and get pulled over, it generally only means a slightly higher fine (expect to pay about Rp50,000 for whatever you have or haven’t done!)
Finally, we can also arrange bicycles. The roads are generally flat and it is easy to pedal around. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to ride into the hustle and bustle of central Seminyak and it is easy enough to find your way back.
Food & Drink
Anyar Estate's Cooking Service
This service is included with your villa. You can either do your own food shopping or Iluh or Kadek will organise for it for you.
They can prepare many delicious Indonesian and Western dishes and many of our guests like to have their dinners cooked for them.
The cooks usually work from 8am to 4pm. Guests who require them to work longer hours will be charged at Rp40,000 per hour.
Other choices for dinner include stoking up the BBQ or ordering in. Alternatively, there are hundreds of restaurants all within a 15 to 20 minute taxi ride, particularly along Jalan Legian and Jalan Oberoi.
We also highly recommend The Beach House on Echo Beach, Canggu, which is a fantastic surf beach for locals and tourists alike. The Beach House is open from 8am until 11pm 7 days a week, and is great for breakfast, long lunches and fresh seafood BBQ’s served right on the beach every night. The sunset drinks at 5pm are a great way to end the day, and Sunday nights feature live music.
