Villa Bali Bali One

Villa Bali-Bali is a delightful enclave of three charming holiday rental villas, located in the rural Umalas area, just 15 minutes from Seminyak in southwest Bali. The enclave, who rests on 4000 m2 of land, comprises a three-bedroom villa with a swimming pool, a two-bedroom villa with a swimming pool, and a two-and-a-half-bedroom cottage with a 12 m2 whirlpool. Each is completely self-contained and secure, with an open plan living and dining area, private facilities and a private entrance. The Bali-Bali villas offer a choice of renting options; they can rented individually therefore remaining totally separate and private, or they can be rented jointly as two villas, or jointly as a complex, accommodating up to 15 guests. The close proximity of the three properties means that the enclave is ideal for groups of friends, or families, who want to be close to each other while still retaining an element of independence and privacy.

Designed by renowned GM Architects and published in detail in “Bali Living”, Villa Bali Bali is instrumental in the modern Balinese architecture of today, of which these luxury Bali rental villas are integrated into the natural contours of the sloping land site, with signature low roofs, and organic shapes. The style blends the contemporary Balinese architecture with traditional design and tropical open-air living. Furthermore, the rolling gardens are beautiful, bordered by rice fields with magical views of the mountains on clear days.

About Bali Bali

Villa Bali-Bali One is an enchanting three-bedroom villa with split-level living and dining areas, a gorgeous garden and a half moon swimming pool. The design is funky and romantic with a resourceful use of space, complemented by primitive tribal art. Dramatic sloping roofs create unusually-shaped rooms throughout the villa and enhance the innovative style of the architectural lay out.
Villa Bali-Bali Two is entered via stepping stones over a lily pond beside a water cascade. This two-bedroom villa blends modern architecture with traditional elements and is undoubtedly romantic, capped with a funky angular roof crafted in ironwood shingle. The building features a lot of local stone and teak wood, and is adorned with antique primitive statues from the Eastern Indonesian islands.
Bali-Bali Cottage is petite, yet still houses two-and-a-half air-conditioned bedrooms. It is ideally rented in conjunction with one or both of the other villas within the Bali-Bali Complex. This quaint little villa consists of two buildings interlinked by a covered passageway.

Bedrooms

There are three air-conditioned bedrooms at Villa Bali-Bali One, located on the ground floor and accessed via an intriguing passageway from the living & dining area. The passageway has a glass-pitched roof and a stone floor, and a shelf runs along one side displaying a collection of natural rocks mounted upon stands.
The master bedroom is split level with four steps leading up to the sleeping area. It features a teak floor under a soaring roof and is furnished with a four-poster king size bed draped in netting. The ethnic theme is embraced in this room with a textile wall hanging, while glass doors open out into a private garden. Stepping down into the semi open-air ensuite bathroom, guests can enjoy the luxury of bathing in a big circular Jacuzzi tub. The bathroom is also fitted with a marble washbowl on a pedestal and a walk-in shower positioned beside a window overlooking the private walled garden.
The second bedroom is similar in style to the master with an abundance of teak. It is furnished with a king size four-poster bed with nets, and showcases Lombok pottery lamps. It shares its ensuite bathroom with the third bedroom, which is smaller but nonetheless very romantic with a king size four-poster bed. The shared semi open-air bathroom can be accessed by doors from both bedrooms and is fitted with twin washbowls and a walk-in shower with a view into a private garden. Each bedroom is provided with a built-in wardrobe and a safe deposit box.

Living & Dining Room

The living room at Bali-Bali One is open to the garden with two distinct sitting areas furnished with built-in cushioned sofas and rustic coffee tables; it is also equipped with a mini-bar fridge. The room is characterized by a beautiful teak floor under a sweeping ironwood shingle roof, lined with woven rattan. The roof slopes at a steep angle and overhangs the room at a low level, providing plenty of shade. Three steps lead from the living room down to the semi open-air dining room, which features a pebble rock floor and a ‘Batu Yogya’ stone wall to one side. It is furnished with a table and eight chairs. A stairway leads from the living room to an open mezzanine entertainment lounge with a built-in sofa that hugs the wall, and a teak floor under the soaring roof. This cozy snug is equipped with a 21” cable-channel TV, DVD player and sound system. Antique artifacts grace the walls.

The self contained kitchens at Villas Bali-Bali One present polished black granite work surfaces and teak cabinets. Each is well equipped with modern appliances, including an oven, gas hob and microwave.
Swimming Pool & Garden
The beautifully manicured gardens at Bali-Bali One are planted with travelers’ palms, sweet scented frangipani, bougainvillea and a showy border of plumbago. An immaculate lawn rolls down a gentle slope, and a half moon swimming pool rests to one side, complete with a deck furnished with sun beds, and a ‘bale’ relaxation pavilion. The garden connects with Villa Bali-Bali Two, yet is still private.

Location

Villa Bali-Bali is located between the traditional villages of Umalas and Banjar Semer, just ten minutes’ drive from Batubelig beach on Bali’s southwest coast. This out of town setting presents the double attraction of being close to everything that guests might need, while also offering visitors a privileged insight into the traditions of rural Bali. The trendy Seminyak area, with its wide choice of international restaurants – including the famous ‘Ku Dé Ta’, ‘Nutmegs at Hu’u, ‘La Lucciola’, ‘Breeze at The Samaya’, ‘Métis’, ‘Sardine’ and ‘Sarong’ – together with a plethora of chic cocktail bars, exciting nightclubs, lavish spas and elegant shops, is a mere 15 minutes’ drive away. The sweeping beach at Seminyak, renowned for its world-class surf breaks and panoramic coastline views, is the place where the local community gathers every evening to watch the legendary sunsets.

The Umalas Equestrian Centre is within 100 meters of the villa, offering horse lovers everything from sunset beach rides to dressage tuition and riding lessons for young children. Nirwana Golf and Country Club, one of Asia’s finest golf courses, designed by Greg Norman, is a 20-minute car journey. Set amid sparkling rice terraces, the spectacular greens overlook the Indian Ocean and the dramatic wave-lashed Tanah Lot sea temple.

Villa Bali-Bali is also convenient for all of the Island’s main shopping malls and tourist attractions, and just 35 minutes’ drive from Bali’s International Airport.
